  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi! I just got my 2022 GV80 Prestige and I noticed that this weekend when someone in the backseat turned up the power of the A/C, it also turned it up in the front. It seems that the backseat can control the fronts A/C. Just wanted to check if anyone knows if I can turn that feature off? No worries if not, just curious! Thanks!

Yes. You can disable the back controls.

Yes. You can disable the back controls.
Hi Dale! I know I can disable them, but do you know if there's a way that the people in the back can still control their air, without changing the fronts?

No. There is only one fan for front and back. They fan adjust temp independently, but fan controls front and back. Genesis is not the only vehicle this way. Wish we did have seperate fans.

As stated you can easily turn off the rear AC (just touch "rear" on the main AC screen and then touch off) however there is only 1 fan so there is really not 3 zones (2 front, 1 rear), if the rear is turned up it will affect the front as well and vice versa. I suppose this is one of the cost savings measures Genesis uses to keep the price lower than the competition. This issue and the lack of passenger seat memory are the major 2 things that I don't like about this car. On the other hand the AC works really well. I find that I'm always turning it down and I live in S. Florida where it's in the 90's every day.

Hi! Good to know, thank you! I also live in Florida! I wonder if you could help with my next A/C question. I noticed that the A/C fan speed will adjust itself when I am driving, do you know how to turn that off? If I have it set to fan speed 2, I'd prefer if it stayed there unless I chose to change it myself.

Do not select AUTO and it will stay to what you set.

That is one of the few sucky things about this car.

Exactly, I leave it on Auto until the temp. is comfortable and then turn the fan down to a lower speed where it stays.
