  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm not sure if there is already a question/answer posted for this, but I cannot find it. Anyways, I recently purchased a 2023 g70 prestige. Before that I owned a 2021 g70 prestige. I've noticed a few options changed on the infotainment screens, but no big deal, pretty easy to figure out except for a couple things. I thought they should be easy, but i can't seem to figure it out...my issues are coming under the phone menu and I will list below

1) Privacy mode - my understanding of this is when you select it, then text messages will not show up on the infotainment screen as long as this is selected. In my 2021 G70, this was the case. I selected privacy mode and texts would not pop up on the screen and lower the music. In my 2023 G70, this does not seem to be the case. It shows the red checkmark where it shows privacy mode but still has the text messages pop up every time.

2) In relation to point 1, in the manual it shows that there should be a "message notifications" option beneath "device connections" in the Device Connection Settings section. This is not the case. I don't understand why the manual shows one thing and the infotainment screen doesn't show it. Maybe they did an update, but that seems unlikely as that's a pretty significant change.

Maybe this is a simple fix that I am missing (I hope so as I don't mind feeling dumb if it is haha).

Has anyone run into this issue?

Any help is much appreciated.
