  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Got my 2023 G80 last week and have been incredibly disappointed so far. I drive 4+ hours every day (sales rep) and have crushing lower back pain from this seat. No adjustments fix the issue either - I never expected this in such a high price vehicle. Anyone else have the same problem? Any ideas to fix?
I’m 6’1, 190 and have never had back issues before. No pain at all sitting in my other car either (Lincoln Navigator)

Second issue - when driving on a wet road the car get an incredibly loud hissing noise from the rear tires. It honestly sounds like the window is open a bit - but it’s just the tires. Incredibly annoying and non-stop. Tires that came with the car are the Michelin primacy tour model. Anyone else have this same issue? Would love to hear it’s fixable!

Thanks

Did you ever test drive the car?

Yeah - for a solid 15-20 mins. No issues. Prolonged driving (1+hours) is when it showed up

I am sorry to hear this, I have both Cervical and Lumbar issues and I have been able to adjust the seat to where I am comfortable. I have found the seat to be just as comfortable as other cars that I have owned. I am 5’ 11 1/2 and weigh 191.
I have not heard any unusual noise from the tires when driving on wet surfaces and have the same tires as you.

I would suggest you try the automatic posture seat setting and see if that helps.
Make sure to use the thigh extender and also make certain that lumbar and seat inflator are adjusted to your comfort level.

On the tires I would give them 2,000 miles and see what happens.

I would also remove your wallet as that can sure cause these back issues. It's a small thing but in some people it makes a huge difference in comfort.

Although my 2021 G80 Prestige seats are not the best, they are far from being the worse
(worse modern day car seats were my 2017 Continental. Dealers could never fix. -
BEST Seat I’ve ever had was on my 1994 Thunderbird. GREAT DRIVER SEAT).
