2023 GV80 Prestige OTA updates

Hey guys. I purchased my vehicle about 6 weeks and am very happy with the car itself. Can anyone confirm or deny that the 2023 GV80 can receive OTA updates? I successfully installed a map update but screen says OTA update available however the UPDATE button isn't lit. Sorry to go on and on but I had contacted Genesis and they told me the GV80 isn't capable of updates, which is contrary to what I read on mygenesis.com when logged in. So has anyone here received OTA for 2023 GV80 Prestige?

I have two 2021. G80’s.
I have given up on trying to get OTA Updates. Genesis keeps telling me that I must get a USB update. All I get from them is Double Talk. Previous cars could be updated with an SD card or even a Disc but not my 2021 G80’s. I’m “old” and not tech savy so I don’t do USB update.
My maps are good and if I need better, I can use Apple Play Google Maps, or Waze or Apple Maps, etc.

I paid for OTA Updates but not getting it.

Genesis telling you that the GV80 is incapable of receiving OTA updates is curious given the debacle their unannounced OTA update caused a couple weeks ago.

I have done all my MAP updates through the usb port. One of the map updates had other updates in it as well.
But I did get two other minor non map updates OTA at different times since I have owned the car. Probably too much data to transmit the map updates.

Yes that happened to me too smh but the screen still says OTA available lol. Not much of this technology makes any sense.

OTA updates are available on every new Genesis vehicle as long as connected services is set up. However, I will admit they can be hit and miss sometimes. If you're getting a pop-up on your screen that an update is available after you shut the car off, that's good and go ahead with accepting the update. Like others have said, doing it yourself is very easy too. The "Update" button doesn't need to be lit up for it to be ready for an update (Setup, General, SW Info)

Thanks for your input. I press the update button and nothing happens. Haven't gotten any pop ups all I get is a notification on the Setup, General etc page you speak of. Guess I'll try to convince Genesis again that I can get updates lol.

I'm not convinced OTA updates are available on every new Genesis vehicle with connected services. I don't believe that method is available in Canada, but I'd be pleased to hear to the contrary from any Canadian owners who have updated that way. Having said that, I have no difficulty downloading the updates on my computer following the steps in the Navigation Update app, A nice addition in the last update was the notification of the ability to turn the car off during the update to resume later (although I didn't use it).
