  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2024 G70 3.3 won’t start

Dealer has the tool for fixing the TPMS. I have an appointment this Friday to take it in. Also on the list is to fix the headlight sensor. I told him I want a nice loaner! This is sort of a joke….i wanted the GMs personal Corvette as a loaner, but he got rid of it. My Service Advisor just bought a 2004 Corvette Z06 special edition. I’ve owned seven Corvettes and know them well.
Very nice.
I LOVE the C7 body style. One of my dream cars is a 2019 ZR1 3ZR in Sebring Orange Tintcoat with all the carbon fiber goodness.:love:

You have good taste! My last Corvette was a 2009 C6 Z06. I loved the car but it was sitting in the garage too much while I was riding motorcycles. I was a few years from retirement so i decided the money from selling it would serve me better in my retirement account.

Picked up my car today, everything working again. The failure of a control module was responsible for all the issues. I was very pleased with all aspects of the dealer experience.

I think you're dealing with a pretty frustrating issue, especially with the car starting via remote but then shutting down shortly after. The message to push the FOB against the start/stop button suggests there could be an issue with the communication between the key and the car's ignition system, which might be causing it to shut off when you try to put it in gear or close the door. It's great that the service writer seemed knowledgeable, as it's definitely a complex issue. While it’s still with the shop, they’ll likely check the battery in the key fob, ignition system, and possibly even the vehicle's computer for any faults. It’s not uncommon for issues like this to be related to a malfunctioning immobilizer or a weak signal from the fob, but hopefully, they can narrow it down quickly. Keep us updated on what they find!
