  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got my 2024 GV80 prestige at the end of 2023.

I took it in to have it checked out a few months later for seat noise -- the two back captain seats were visibly shaking back and forth on bumpy roads, and even when they weren't visibly shaking, I could hear creaks and squeaks coming from the seats.

The first time, some small things were tried and it didn't fix it. The second time, they took a couple hours to take the seats out and put them back in, but didn't specify that they did anything. The noise went away for a while but came back months later.

Additionally, the sunroof started rattling whenever the visor was back (not the glass). Now the dealer near me has changed, they didn't come with me in the car to identify the sound and couldn't reproduce / did not hear the seat noise. They were able to verify the sunroof noise (it's really obvious) and ordered a new part, still waiting for it to come in.

The sunroof is going to get replaced at no charge to me, but it does make me wonder if anyone else has seen these issues or if it just happens to be my car?

Also, G70 loaner I got from the dealer had some noise coming from the back seat as well, but different than my GV80 (less noticeable and no captain seats).
I was noticed my jacket on the front passenger seat visibly vibrating when the car was in drive but stopped.
Do all Genesis vehicles have NVH issues? Or is it the bigger wheels/less tires that are causing this?

I think you answered your own question if the "bigger wheels" were causing your vibration. Obviously not if the front seat is shaking while the car is stopped. Genesis vehicles are known for very low NVH. I hope you can get this relatively isolated issue with yours resolved.

My thinking with the wheel/tire size is a cumulative effect of parts loosening over time, and that thicker tires would reduce that. In the case of my GV80, the noise and shaking from the back seats showed up a couple months after I bought it, then it was fixed, and then it started happening again months later.
