  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’ve been having an issue with my 22 g70, boost gauge stays at 0 whole time, car feels sluggish and slow. This problem has been going on for a couple of days, I've already tried restarting but it does not solve the problem.

I have a JB4 installed, currently map 0 until I install my HKS Spark Plugs, should I remove the JB4 and go to a genesis dealer? Only mods I currently have are JB4/BMS Intakes.

Hey, quick question: Where is the boost gauge? I have a '23 SP, and no boost gauge. (just temp). Hope Genesis didn't remove it :(. Thank you.

OP - if you have an OBD reader i'd suggest taking a look (or go to Autozone). any CEL or codes being thrown? otherwise, yeah, i'd pull off JB4 and take it in the the dealer for them to diagnose. i doubt there is anything wrong with your boost gauge.

ELP_JC - the boost gauge (on my '19) is in the instrument cluster screen menu. same screen as oil temp and torque gauges. i wish we had a better 'performance gauge' screen on the dash, not just the cluster screen, but at least there's something...

If your car feels sluggish and slow, then the "0" boost pressure reading likely is correct, assuming all other parameters read from OBD2 appear normal.

If you've had the JB4 for a while and it had been working properly, right up until the point where boost pressure went to zero, then something must have happened and the ECU went into a limp-home mode.

If you just installed the JB4 and the boost pressure went to zero right after the install, then I would suspect the install was not done properly. Maybe you crossed the boost pressure plug with the manifold pressure plug? Dunno... without more info and sequence of events leading up to the failure.

That's the problem with these posts asking for diagnostics help. Rarely have I've seen one that has anywhere near enough info and background description for most of us to offer much more than a couple of blinded dart throws.

Man, I don't have ANY of that :(. You're talking about the screen where the digital speed, TPMS, etc, are, right? I only have coolant temp; that's it. And the tripmeters, of course. Do you also have the half-ass 2/3rds digital dash? Or just the middle part? And if I choose the driver profile #2, there's no TPMS or digital speed. Wonder if all 2023 G70 2.0Ts are the same as mine. Hmmmm. And mine is the top SP spec.

^ what i'm talking about looks pretty much like this:

you access this by using the steering wheel mounted button for menu selection. i would expect all trims to have this. but i can't say that for sure. mine is a 2.0T, 6MT Sport trim.

2019 2T auto has none of that performance gauge options. Bonus for the performance choice of Manual transmission and also the 3.3 engine

Guess that's a 2.0T 6MT option only. My gauge is different than that (it's the half-ass digital one; yours is much nicer IMO), and there's no such option in the middle cluster. Oh well. I don't even have a fixed coolant temp gauge. And the speedo looks super cheap, especially compared to those '19 gauges. It should have been nicer. Ha ha. Oh well. Thank you for posting.

^ weird. dunno why Genny would drop that simple menu feature from some trims - they have turbos too! the menu also has the lap timer and g-force screens. maybe one more.

that pic wasn't my actual car, that must be a slushbox Sport trim (hence the "P"), but otherwise it is identical to the '19 gauge package. also, i never drive in Comfort mode...never. either Sport for spirited drives or Eco for stop and go commutes since it smooths out driveline lash.

OP... have you figured out the issue yet?

Don't overlook any simple causes. A friend of mine recently had the same thing happen to his Hyundai Veloster N... boost gauge went to zero. Turned out that one of his charge pipe connections broke loose. So, at the very least, look closely at the entire lengths of your charge pipe(s), and make sure everything is tight.
