  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just saw this YouTube vid- does anyone else have this same engine compartment cladding? I don't have the same plastic shrouding up the sides over the wheel well/shock towers.

Yes - everything should be covered in plastic - what do you have?

Mine is all covered.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
All covered on my Genesis.

Mine is NOT covered like the photo. The strut towers have a small cover, but nothing like the cover in the photo. (I can see the inside of the fenders wells).

Just like Dataguy said, must be a running change. No big deal, except the photo looks better.

My early '09 build is exposed. Just a couple of black boxes mounted on the fender wells. I really can't see any advantage for additional shrouding.

Mine looks the same as yours Bob. Oh well I guess, right?:grouphug:

Mine is fully enclosed as well, my 3.8 was built in 8/08. Ask your dealer about it. My car did not come with the trunk enclosed, but I just asked the service manager and they ordered the trunk cover and installed it, all at no cost.

I emailed my dealer - they are asking the service manager to see if they will do it.

2010 3.8 Tech no shrouding. Any other 2010 owners with shrouding?

How do you remove that engine shroud. Just wish to look over the engine to see if all is well after my first oil change at the dealership??? ps my car has only the engine shroud and other individual covers over the strut towers. Built 8 July 2009

Thanks Kevin

Mine's a 2010 4.6L and it's open like Dataguy's. I have the covers except for over the wheel well/strut areas.

BTW - those plastic covers over the strut towers are about useless unless you have perhaps coilovers.

To remove the center engine shroud, simply lift up each corner. There are 4 nipples holding it place.

Thanks for the answer, I didn't want to yank to hard on it, just in case there was screws or clips envoled.

Thanks again
Kev
