I have 3.8 with 109k miles. Had the ATF and differential fluid replaced at 100K mikes. This is my first automatic and It seems to have developed some shifting problems:
1. Yesterday I got on the highway after about a mile and it got stuck in a gear at about 65 mph meaning that it wouldn't upshift and the rpms went up from 3,000 to 4,000 no matter how many times I let off the gas. An hour later after an appointment, it drove normally shifting-wise on 45 mph roads with speeds up to 60mph.
2. Will stall once in awhile slowing to stop for a stoplight. Seems like it struggles to downshift fast enough.
3. Accelerating to highway speed it sometimes seems to slip into neutral and not engage the next gear. Letting off the throttle let's it shift
Normal shift mode for all instances. Any thoughts? Wrong gear oil?
