  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This may seem to be "nit picking" but has anyone else experienced the black paint chipping off of their 4.6 logo on the rear trunk lid? I just picked up my car last week and was waxing it last night when I noticed that about half the paint was gone from the 4. If I could get the rest off it might look better all chrome but the rest is on to stay.

I have my 4.6 just over 1.5 months now. Washed the car a few times, so far the paint on the 4.6 logo still like new. Perhaps, this a quality control issue?

Get it changed... I can understand years but weeks or months? Probably defective.

I had the service guys look at it today when I picked up my wheel locks. They said they will order another emblem set and it should be in next week. They thought it was defective paint.

I was working in the garage and decided to take the rest of the flat black paint off the 4.6 logo just to see how it looked. WOW! I think it looks better than painted!!! I'm going to keep the all chrome 4.6 emblem on.
