4.6 V8 Cylinder Numbering

I have found a lot of conflicting data on the cylinder numbering for the Tau 4.6 V8.

It would appear that the numbering is:
1 3 5 7 Passenger
Frt ..................Rear
2 4 6 8 Driver

I know this differs from many convential V8 layouts.

I would appreciate confirmation on this. Thanks!

I guess they do it differently than American engines? Odd cylinders are on the left.
