  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All
I have been trying to close a blind eye on this issue right from the beginning hoping it will eventually grow on my but to no avail.
The trailing edge of the hood is flapping noticeably at the speeds over 45 mph and this flapping can be felt sometimes in form of vibration through the cabin.
Really annoying. SA, shop foreman and technicians said this is normal.
I doubt it very much.
Anyone experiencing this problem?
Thanks

No this is not normal. I've had my car above 100 with no flap. Note I had this problem on my 1997 Maxima after I had a fender bender.

definitely not normal. I have had the car up to 135 and did not notice any such issue.

Not normal!

I have read on this forum of others having same issue. But I have not notice it at all on my G2 5.0

Mine is a 3.8 AWD. No flapping, and I'd guess they use the same hood.

I have this problem also in my 3.8. Car came from Korea in 06.2014 and I have now almost 87000 miles. But I don't feel any vibrations.

Mine is also from Korea, until now I have 5K miles and Im often driving in high/very high speeds - car is dead silent!

my hood has a slight bit of flutter at highway speeds at the base of the windshield...especially driving into headwinds. i've gotten so used to it though that i rarely ever notice it anymore.
