  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just drove 250 miles each way, mostly freeway in my 4.6 genny. Round trip MPG 27.2, and that's with 4 people in the car, going between 75-80mph.
The ride was very quiet unless the pavement was rough. It was mostly comfortable except for bumpy surfaces in which case a Lexus or Toyota Camry would have absorbed the bumps better.

For the first time in my life, I used the active cruise control, set at 80 mph. Wonderful feature as I can rest my right leg and not have to constantly disengage when a car slows down ahead. It's amazing how the car slows down then speeds up smoothly, all the while keeping a constant distance behind a car.

Were you using regular or premium Gas?
I'm getting 26+on the highway on regular but was trying to see if premium would give better mileage or performance. I drive it like a luxury sedan and not a sports car.

I always use regular gas. Maybe I'll try premium some day.

I did a 200 mile highway trip yesterday with regular gas. Got 27.9 in my R Spec with the cruise set at 72 Love tha adpative cruise.

Did a 600 round trip in the R-Spec last week. Averaged 25.8 at 79 mph and the car ran like a dream, even on the rough parts of I40. I was sure glad I had the clear bra done as parts of the trip were very windy.

Can no longer say that about the new Camry; the stiffer suspension on the new Camry results in a ride more like the Sonata and Accord.
