Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message

5th windshield repair in 2 yrs!!! Is there any effective hard coating process to prevent cracks?

I have a 2022 GV70. I have had to replace the windshield 3 times in 2 yrs so including the original windshield I’ve had 4 windshields. The most recent replacement was 2 weeks ago. Today my windshield was barely hit by a little pebble and I have a star crack the size of a dime. Safelite is coming out to fix it today. It’s very frustrating that this keeps happening. It has to be an inferior quality of glass! Does anyone know of any effective process that can be done to the glass to hard coat the glass for protection?
