6 CD Changer Mystery

This past week I took delivery on a new G2013 Genisi with both the Premium and Technology Option packages. One of the items which i particullarly wanted is the 6 CD changer. I comute a long distance and enjoy audio books which I check out at our local library. However neither the manuals whic came with the vehicle, mor anyone at the dealership could explain how to install ore than one CD at a time....anyone out there know the trick?

I don't think the 2013 tech has the 6 CD changer. My r spec seems incapable of more than one disc at a time.

2013 dropped the 6 disk changer. Most use usb or ipod these days.

My 2013 window sticker said it had a six disk changer but it didn't. A couple of weeks later my salesman mailed me an updated sticker with a 1-disc player.

The key is to trade in your 2013 for a 2012.

I have a 2012 R-spec (Tech pkg) with a 6-cd changer. After you insert the first disc a message appears asking you to insert the next cd.

But op has 2013 Hyundai Genesis sedan and for 2013 models no genesis model has a 6 disk changer.

Homeofstone has the correct answer. I wonder how many owners are surprised with this fact after buying? I don't think the absence of a CD/DVD changer alone would change a potential buyers mind but along with certain other facts it could be a deal changer. Potential buyers should read the forums. I will never buy another car without a good read of the Internet forums. The individual reactions (both positive and negative) are priceless.

I know i was surprised to find out my 2012 G with premium and tech does not stream audio. But the non tech does? Who would have thought the more expensive tech package doesn't stream audio?

i didn't find this forum until after I bought my car.

I bought a Bluetooth adapter from monoprice.com and a 3.5 mm jack and a USB extension all for $20 bucks and if works great.

I understand. My point was simply that if you don't see a message to load the next CD it probably doesn't have a changer.
