  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

David--

We already know this. When are you going to buy one?

2011 Infiniti M37, a Genesis competitor that last year was around $51k.

The M45 that was present at the 2009 mpls auto show was $63,000 fully loaded with 4.5L.

Still twenty-one grand more then the V8 Genesis w/tech.

The M45 was a 2010. The 2011 is an M56 with 420hp, direct injection, and variable camshaft lift and timing.

We have a 2005 MB E320CDI. We are waiting to see the 2011 Hyundai Genesis and Equus, and 2011 Audi A6.

My point exactly. A ton more money for an outdated model.:) The new M56 is pretty good on paper, and we'll see how it turns out.

Infiniti was the company that lost out when I bough my Genesis.

To us it may well turn out to be a price issue. If the Genesis had the electronic pnuematic suspension, awd, and passenger ventilated seat it would an easier decision. If the loaded M37 was $53k instead of $60 it may be a different decision. That is possible at sometime in the future; our QX56 had a $6k dealer incentive.

However, the Genesis is pretty nice, and the M37 has some important weaknesses: no parking sensors, the same weak laser cruise control distance sensor. For $10k more are the MB and BMW which both have night vision, microwave cruise control distance sensors, parking sensors. With the MB you have to get the V8 to get ventilated seats and a decent interior. So far the Audi lacks the ventilated seats and IMHO doesn't quite have a luxury interior.

For an actual purchase price in the $30s the Genesis looks like the probably winner.

Audi has the best interior voted in EU for years..... (over BM & MB) :p
