  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So around 35K I noticed that my transmission was shifting rough, but not all the time, took it in, service said it seemed fine. Well at least I had it on record. At 50K it started again, at 20 mph and 45 mph, which gears I couldn't really tell. So I called and talked to service, after a little time on the phone I was told that at 60K there's a transmission service that's due. So I made an appointment, selected the flush/fill/flush/fill option. Now it's back to shifting like new, $450 was worth it.

I had an issue with the car slipping and bucking from 2nd to 3rd. First the dealer reset the TCU (Transmission Control Unit) It worked for a week. I brought it in a second time and left the car running and grabbed the head service tech and we went for a ride after 5 min he told me the transmission was gone. They replaced it as it was still under the 5/60,000 warranty. I was lucky I guess that it went @ 32,000 mi as I am the second owner and am not covered under the 10/100,000 warranty. It works much better than I first bought it. I didn't realize how loose it was as I thought that is the way Genesis Trannys are but no she is virgin tight, I'm hoping it will save my brake pads now that it doesn't glide forever.
