  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Funny thing happen on the way to the Forum. Coming back from riding out the hurricane in Raleigh, my 4.6 ran away from me and got me a PoPo in the back window with flashing lights. Not to welcome me home. Oh well, the 4.6 does like to run!! Court date in four weeks even after I pleaded Hurricane victim!

You should have just out run them....would have never caught you! ;)

Officer, I was just keeping up with the wind...errr traffic!

Ruh roh.....

First thing I did was purchase the valentine 1 and had it hard wired to my rear view mirror. Took a few trips and have had it way past the 100 mark with no issues.
Invest or it will cost you.

I had a Passport yet he had instant on and I was in the passing lane with no one blocking me. I was dead meat!

I've had the V1 for almost 10 years, best investment I ever made. BUT - like you, got nailed with radar, not a thing you can do about it. 84 in a 65 mph zone on Rt. 95 in CT, $294 ticket. He could have also written me up for passing on the right, but he gave me a "break". Nice guy.

Yeah, I recommend fighting the ticket into the ground as you know about the insurance surcharges. Try to reschedule the court date, etc. You can visit motorists.org for some information, though they're a bit enthusiastic on some things. Now I don't really condone dangerous speeding (above properly set limits in built up areas), but I for one think the highway speed limits are BS especially if there are very few people on the road. I got nailed for 84 in a 65 while passing the guy who slowed down for a cop when I was younger
