- 1G Genesis Sedan (2009-2014)
Hi I am a new Genesis owner. I purchased a 2013 with only 26k miles this month. So far everything on the car works well (knock on wood) however I've been reading about people having issues with the 2012-2014 model years with their transmissions going out/slipping/having problems as little as 60k miles and having to have to get the trans completely replaced.
Is this a common issue with this model? I don't have a warranty on the car unfortunately because it would not cover it with the age of it.
So I guess I'm wondering, how common is this problem? Is this only a minority of cars that are affected by it? I don't drive my car rough or hard at all.
Any preventative procedures?
