Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Hi I am a new Genesis owner. I purchased a 2013 with only 26k miles this month. So far everything on the car works well (knock on wood) however I've been reading about people having issues with the 2012-2014 model years with their transmissions going out/slipping/having problems as little as 60k miles and having to have to get the trans completely replaced.

Is this a common issue with this model? I don't have a warranty on the car unfortunately because it would not cover it with the age of it.

So I guess I'm wondering, how common is this problem? Is this only a minority of cars that are affected by it? I don't drive my car rough or hard at all.

Any preventative procedures?
