A/C Clutch Not Engaging

Hello to all the Genesis Coupesters! I'm new to the forum. My husband & I own a Genesis Coupe 2.0t going on 3 years now and love it.
My question is: We took our car in to get the a/c cleaned out and recharged but when the tech hooked up his testing equipment, it could not communicate with the a/c module in our car so they took all the freon back out and told us we may have a prob with the Module. Is there a way to confirm this and what exactly we need to buy to have our a/c running again?
