  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

"...Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens."

All of us know the classic song made famous by Julie Andrews. As I drive my Genesis more and more, I begin to appreciate some of the many feature-rich benefits Hyindai's engineers chose to include in this vehicle.

I thought I would start a thread highlighting a few of my favorite things about this car.

One favorite of mine are the rain sensing windshield wipers. Every car should have this feature. They actually do what they are designed to. Imagine that. Before these, I had to constantly adjust the interval between sweeps.

Another favorite is the truly remarkable Lexicon Sound System that comes with the Tech Package - WOW! :)

And now it's your turn. Name some of your favorite things. :grouphug:

In no particular order:

1. Voice commands. I haven't had this feature before, so I can't compare with other makes, but this one does a great job of interpreting the names I utter from my phonebook...we rarely miscommunicate (hmmm, I wonder if "she's" married ;-).

2. Proximity key functionality. Again, other cars may do this better, but this system's pretty cool, including the door buttons, the ability to walk up to my trunk and open it (with the key in my pocket), knowing that others can't, even after I walk away, etc. And my passengers invariably find the push-button start to be "way cool", too.

3. The rear sunshade that drops down in Reverse and comes back up in Drive. My BMW didn't do that.

4. A trunk big enough to put four golf bags in. My 530i couldn't handle that!

5. Lexicon audio system (gotta agree with you on that, Bob!).

6. The $20,000 in my bank account that I didn't spend to buy a comparable Japanese or German car!

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Which is why I said technically. If you are "pro" something, you favor it. In the end, this IS a repost IMO.

Well, actually, when you found something that is "pro", you find it nice that the car has it. If one of those is your favorite.. then well.... it's you're favorite!!!

For example, Pro, my mom loves us 4 siblings... but I am the favorite son!!!

Bob,

I like the appreciative looks the car gets; I get a sense of enjoyment with the overall good handling driving day or night, and I look forward to running errands just so I can listen to the audio system - whether it is XM, FM or iPod.

I like the intuitive layout of the controls - I have never had to search vainly for a button/control, like in some other cars.

Those are some of my favorite things so far.

Just don't get carried away and put "the hills are alive, with the sound of..." in your playlist.
