  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've had my 2011 4.6 for about 3 months. Now that the weather up north is becoming warmer, I'm noticing that even when the air conditioner is turned on
there's hot air blowing into the back seat. I plan to have the dealer address this issue when I bring the car in for service, but I was wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone. By the way, my previous Genesis, an 09 3.8 did not have this problem.

Have you changed the dial from red to blue? I assume so, but sometimes it slips back to red.

The rear air vent is independent and simply manual. The control rotates about a quarter turn to red or blue, hot or cold.

This happened to me last Friday, mid 70s nice day in Metro DC. I noticed my right elbow was getting hot, Actually the heat was really hot like it was being heated by the exhaust/cats. No change with AC on and moving the dial to blue did not have any change. I was able to turn off the flow of air. I've not had the first oil change yet but I will attempt to duplicate before having it looked at.
