In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. I found a picture in network about air suspension struct chart as below:

from the picture we can see that 4 is ecu and 5 is rear shock made by SACHS with CDC, CDC will continous detect road surface 1000 times per second. I'm not sure whether it match U.S version, but from a lof of complains about ride quality, maybe it's a solution that keep handling and improve ride quality? Which one interested this could check whether you have number 4(ECU unit) , if have u could ask ZF whether this shock could be installed.

And I fond ZF sachs pictures as below:

the rear shock spend 900$ in china, maybe cheaper in US. BTW, from the other seniors said before, if reduce bode roll , sway bar change to R-spec verison could help. From 2009-2011 genesis who want to improve ride quality, maybe this two change could help, just a suggest, not any rode test compare with U.S version suspension. Hope to help somebody :)

I don't think just changing shocks will make much difference. The spring rates will need to be changed also.

Yes, if you don't want to race and satisfied existing handling and performance , just for ride quality, only shock is not enough, should include sway bar. I feel body roll come from rear suspension due to weak sway bar.

The non-air suspension shocks, springs, and coils are less firm for the KDM and China market, than for the US market. So if you have too much body roll and too soft of suspension on a KDM or China version, you can probably change to US suspension specs (assuming you don't have air suspension optional upgrade already installed) without having use R-Spec or air suspension.

anymore information on this set up?
Air suspension has been optional on all Genesis sedans sold outside of North America since the beginning (which I assume is 2008 model year outside of NA). May not see air suspension on North America models since Equus has air suspension. BTW, a loaded Genesis in Korea (with air suspension) costs about the same as an Equus in the US.

Thank you for the added info, is there anyway you could get part numbers? See what I'm looking for ideally is an after market air struts/bagges so i can put the car on air suspension and control it my self. however this is a start and if its OEM even better for the fact it could be cover under warranty.
It's not going to be a Hyundai Motor America (HMA) OEM part, and HMA will not provide a warranty on any KDM (Korean Domestic Market) Genesis parts you put on your car which are not on the USA version.

You might be able to get one of the Korea auto part importers to get the parts for you, but you will not be able to get them via a US dealer (who gets them from HMA).

On the Korean versions that have air suspension as an option, there are some electronics issues that would have to be considered for an install on a car without air suspension, so I don't think it would be an easy install. It might actually be more cost effective (taking into account both initial purchase and resale value) to just buy an Equus, which has air suspension as standard equipment.

don't know why you choose air suspension. Reason for height adjust or damp adjust? From our country , lot of users who selected air suspension still found bouncy when hit hollow at low speed, the same ride quality as the stock(without air) suspension. After a research, if height adjust is not your requirement, maybe tein cst with EDFC is the final soultion to improve ride quality and not lost performance, even u can adjust damp in ur carbon.

It's difficult to get all part number except my local delaer, but I can provide shock absorber: 54605-3m500, 54606-3m505,

Thank you peter, I am deff looking for adjustable and coming from a lowrider background with having owned and built a few air suspension equipped vehicles I would love to have this on my genesis. Thank you for the part number on the front air strut, I have looked but no luck at finding them online. also if i could have the part number(s) for the rear set up of the car that would help out too.

I'd love to put my future R-Spec on an AccuAir system.. some of the tech coming out of their camp makes it easy to fathom why people pay 4k and beyond for a system...

stock air ride systems, as mentioned above, usually rely a lot on built in electronic controls that could send you down a path of replacing lots of unseen components in the dash (and beyond)..

I am just looking for the struts/bags so i can incorporate it with aftermarket parts to make it work and be fully adjustable with something like an AccuAir system. I also am looking for a factory set of struts that can be sent out for specs so aftermarket company can create a system for us genesis sedan owners.

the non-air suspension in China as the same as the U.S market. Above pics show rear shock absorber with CDC that can detect 1000/s the road surface and continous adjust damping. This rear shock absorber also made by ZF, maybe another version compare with our current. And this car transfer too many bouncy and virbation from rear side. I don't think air lift could improve ride quality. So I assume it's maybe helpful to improve ride quality using rear shock absorber with CDC.

Hi Jason,
Sorry for late response, I found your reply on another fourm talk about air force suspension. At last the agent said they have not carry for sedan. It has gap with my inquiry. A lot of koreans installed GARCIA air-force air suspension. Some references as below:

Thank you for this info, I too have come across this info but the missing link here is where/how can we buy this set up? Do you have anymore info as to where we can buy?

thank you
Jason
