  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

A super enhanced driver assist for Genesis, thanks to Openpilot.

Its been over a year since I start using openpilot enhanced driver assist, and it keeps better as time goes by. I know this is not for everyone, especially the faint of heart. but for technology enthusiast this is a super enhancement compared to the stock Genesis LKAS & SCC systems. For highway cruising openpilot is super, now with automatic speed set, that adjust your SCC max speed to the speed limit of the current road you are driving on. NB : openpilot allows you to set a max speed offset, mine is set to +10 MPH, which is my typical speed on the highway. As a person that does a couple long trips per year, openpilot has made them much more enjoyable and stress free. Check out the video.

Genesis openpilot driver assists enhancement gets even better, No more 90 degree turn limitation, plus no lane marking is needed for LKAS, 2 significant update.

I know you @Suburbazine would appreciate openpilot. Yes, the new improve version now is the C3, the now discontinued C2 suffered from heat stroke if left in the sun during the hot summer days. My C2 is still going strong because I remove it from the mount when the car is parked in the sun. Rumor has it that Comma ai is in the process of designing a less expensive version. I love openpilot LKAS enhancement so much, that a purchased a backup C2 unit in case my original stop working. Nb: you can still find a used C2 for approx $500 or lower.

Looking at the C3, I just couldn't justify a cheaper C2 at this point just for the hardware capability differences alone.

The C3 looks to have the eventual expandability to approximate the current Tesla FSD Beta with far less hardware.

A C3 clone is coming soon...

I was looking at getting it while I had my Genesis but it was over $2k. I have a 2019 VW Atlas and got it a couple of months ago and can't imaging owning a car without it. I plan on going back to G80 5.0 and will definitely get another C3 or at least the harness so I can quickly switch them between the cars.

Yeah, its definitely addictive. I still use my C2 I purchased 3 years ago, I also have another unit as backup. The latest OPKR Waze speed control update with police and speed camera speed offset is a good addition.

that’s cool! I am using SunnyPilot because it allows me to do the auto steer without adaptive cruise so I use it on the roads where normally I wouldn’t because I don’t want to use adaptive cruise there.

Remember all Sunny Pilot features are copied from OPKR, the only difference is OPKR at the moment, only supports eon \ C2. OPKR coder @multikyd just got his C3, so OPKR will be C3 ready soon.

I don't think there is anything else that beats Comma.ai.

Bluebox is still under development and there is no official product you can buy and use.

Comma comes with a display so you can actually see exactly how the device is reading the road and you can see bunch of other data. Also, Comma has been in the business since 2015 so they worked over 7 years of constantly improving an autonomous driving system and making it great.

Bluebox uses openpilot driving model that is developed by comma ai. currently Bluebox unit is nowhere close to comma ai driver assist device, their unit currently does not have any driver assist feature.
