  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

First time posting a question (and a comment)...
(a) Temperature Display
Anybody know how to change the displayed temperature from Farenheit to Celsius? I've read through the manual twice (the thickest car manual I've ever seen) but missed it each time...For a Canadian, I'm pretty good with my C to F conversions but would like to get degrees C. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

(b) Performance
I've had my V8 Genesis since Oct 18th. One of the first in the Province of Ontario. Its been a blast! After the 1000km break-in period, I tested out the gas pedal and can confirm 80-120km/h (50-75mph) in 3.8 seconds (using the manual shifting mode). Performing this same test with the shifter in "D" takes 4.9s (including a significant delay for the transmission to pick the appropriate gear).
Significantly faster than my old '02 6-spd Maxima SE...(about 5.1s in 3rd gear).

Temperature conversion
If the battery has been discharged or disconnected,
the temperature mode display
will reset to Fahrenheit.
This is a normal condition. You can switch
the temperature mode between
Fahrenheit to Centigrade as follows;
While pressing the MODE button,
depress the DUAL button for 3 seconds
or more. The display will change from
Fahrenheit to Centigrade, or from
Centigrade to Fahrenheit.

Here goes
It on page 89 of the manual

Welcome aboard, Canuck Genesis V8! Thank you for signing up and congratulations on your new Hyundai Genesis! ANOTHER V8 owner! Wow.....

In any event, (I know this was your first post - so it's okay!) - the Lounge area is for non-Genesis discussion. I'm moving your post into the Genesis Technology area.. Please be careful where you post in the future.

When you get some time, add some pictures to our Hyundai Genesis picture gallery. :) Again, welcome! :)

Thanks for getting me in the right spot. This is an extremely helpful site. Good job!
