  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just bought a 2010 genesis sedan. My internet research stated that although missing from the 2009, the 2010 offered streaming bluetooth audio and there was room on the hard drive to download and store your music from a flash drive. Sadly, I don't think this is the case. I do not see this anywhere in the owners manual. Am I mistaken? Does the software on the car receive updates? Is this something I can look forward to in the future?

Thanks.

If you read it on the internet, it must be true.

I just bought 2011 Genesis 4.6. On page 4-153 of owners manual , it states that streaming bluetooth is supported. But so far I have not been able to make it stream music. Called the 1-800 number and they asked me to take the car to dealer. Dealer says that talk to 1-800 guys.

Phone bluetooth is working

Try this trick.

Get on a phone that has a conferencing capability, call both the dealer and the 1-800 guys, conference them together, and then watch what happens.

I've heard that, like strapping a slice of buttered toast to the back of cat which, when dropped from a height of 3 feet, will hover just above the floor, flipping from cat's feet down to buttered toast side down, literally defying gravity...a conference call with the dealer AND the 1-800 guy will either cause the world to explode or we'll have worldwide peace.

Good luck!
