If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When i set the ac on a temperature of 30c, with enabling the air from inside, the air flow is hot, which is fine.

Put in mine that the air outside is cold

when i close the AC, with enabling the air from outside, the air flow if hot like when the AC was open and set to 30c?!!!!!

is there anything in the sitting?

Appreciate your help

thanks

What happens if you simply set it to 30c and press "Auto?"

The air flow will be hot, with enabling the air from inside.

my concern that if i am closing the AC, with enabling the air from out side, the air flow in the car from AC window should be as the temperature from outside.

I'm not sure I understand what you are doing and wanting here.

Are you:
Leaving the temperature set to 30C (86F)?
Turning auto off, not turning the AC on, and selecting fresh air in?

If so, then the air coming out should be heated enough to try to get the cabin temperate to 30C, as you are requesting from it. Temperature control (as in how much air goes through the heater core) remains active in all modes. If you want the air temperature to be about the same as outside, then set the temperature control to minimum and leave the AC off.

Personally, I leave it all on full auto and set the temperature that I want.

I'm having a hard time understanding your description.

"Air from the outside" means that your recirculation option is turned off, correct?

If you have the temperature inside set to 30c and the car has been running for some time warming the coolant, then the system is going to do everything it can to bring the cabin to 30c. All of the air passes through the heater core, so whether it is outside or inside air, the car is going to warm that air to bring the cabin to temperature.

Just because the air outside is cold doesn't mean that you will feel that difference when changing from outside to inside recirculation. This means your car works very well to warm the air :)

I think they are saying is that they expect on a cold day when turning off the interior recirculation, that he should feel the air get colder but they are not and that is making them think that the system is working correctly.

Waaaaw

it seems that my question was not clear

sorry for that all

let me ask it in different way

mmmmmm

if i do not want to open the AC in my car, and i want only to get the air from outside. What shall i do more than pressing “off” bottom of the AC??

let me know what more can i do than the above? In the dashboard sitting or....etc?

steps by steps, so it can be clear

hope the quotation is now little clear

thanks

As I said above, set the temperature control to as low as it will go. The air won't be cooled (off mode), but it will no longer be heated.

I had something interesting happen today that might overlap here. I was driving with the windows down and the AC off. It was 68 degrees outside. I had the HVAC set somewhere between 68 and 72 when it was turned off. But now I had the AC off and all of the windows open and there was rather warm air coming from the vents. I turned on the HVAC, turned the temp down as far as possible, and turned it back off, no more heat flowing through the vents. I also tried turning on the recirculation feature (to close the outside air intake) and that stopped the issue as well.

I think the issue here is that most cars will close the outside air intake for the HVAC when it's powered off, but it doesn't seem to do that in the GV80.

I'm used to feeling some residual air in our EV because it can use the HVAC to chill the power train but this was pretty strong. Like I had the HVAC fan on and blowing air, but the system was off.

Seems like same happened to me before. Try leaving the HVAC (#7) on but just turn off the A/C button (#12). That seems to let the temperature and vent selection functioning automatically.

Good info. I think whatever temp is set at the time the HVAC is turned off, keeps the blend doors in a position to best meet that demand. For me, I had it set at a temp where it probably wanted to add in some heat from the heater core. So the air was traveling in from outside, though the passages, and the blend door was in such a way that it forced some or all of that air over the heater core.

Why would you want to set your temperature to 86 F (30 C)? Are you trying to roast your occupants? Set the temperature to 21 C and leave it alone. It shouldn’t matter what season of the year it is or what the outside temperature is. It’s a thermostat...it will try to maintain that temperature on the inside of the vehicle. It doesn’t mean that’s the temperature of the air coming out of the vents.
