  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Apart from this minimal info in the manual, I cant find any details. Am sure one should use the AC outlet only when car is running, and not for a hair dryer!!

But is it reasonable to use it for a hot water kettle? What does anyone even use it for? TIA

You would need to know how many watts the inverter is rated for to know what it would run. I see no reason to only use it with the engine running unless you are using if for a long time. Again calculate the usage.

These are warnings in the GV70 owners manual.

The snap shot above from the owner's manual clearly says 150 watts.

I may be wrong, but I think I say it printed on the outlet somewhere.
Basically, no motors or heating or cooling devices. Good for a lamp and such.

I'm not surprised. Inductive loads are a big problem for inverters, and they probably didn't put the money into handling that. (I'm not meaning that in a negative way. Most people probably don't want to pay for something they won't be using anyway.) The warnings against heating devices may be for other safety reasons too.
