  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2013 3.8 sedan. In hot weather (roughly 80 degrees or higher) my AC won't function properly. I have seen many AC problems described but not this exact one. It makes cool air, but the vents will not blow air--you can very faintly feel the cold air coming out of the vents, but the fan controls will not function. Sometimes it eventually just turns on during the trip, other times not. In temps below 80 degrees or so, it works fine for the most part. A few times it's been doing this intermittently on longer trips. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

When it is not blowing air, do you hear the blower sound like it is blowing pretty hard?
If so, you evaporator is probably freezing over. This is not an uncommon problem.
If you do not hear your blower running, then you probably have a failing blower motor or a failing blower speed control (often call the blower resistor). Some simple electrical tests can help determine which it is.
