  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My genesis has an intermittant problem of the vent to the right of the driver sometimes is not opening when all other dash vents are open. The only fix I have found is to shut off the car and restart and the problem is temporarily fixed. Anyone else have this problem? What was the fix?

Mine does it too on occasion (my driver's vents usually try to roast me - hot air instead of cold). Most of the time I can cycle through the vent positions and it'll right itself. Restart is my last resort.

Could be the blend door or the climate control head unit. You need a Tech Tool to diagnose. If you still have warranty hit up the dealer. If not, take Skipgen's advice and cycle through the settings.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
On a side note - I've lately been getting so many random electrical "hiccups", I wish I could reboot the whole car!

If you remove the battery connectors and let the car sit and discharge that'll do it.
But, NEVER cross the + ans - terminals. It'll likely blow out the electrical system. As for discharging, it'll wipe out settings and may render the power windows inoperable.
