I really wonder about the accuracy of the estimated dates that show up for new vehicles that are marked as "in transit". The car I've been waiting for originally showed as in transit with an estimated arrival date of 2/27. As of this morning, the car now shows an estimated arrival date of 3/27. I've tried to follow the progress of this car through my dealer, and he's been telling me about "logistical delays" and weather in California, etc. I'm not so sure I believe him and was wondering what other folks' experience has been. At first, the car showed up on the national inventory search with a VIN and no window sticker. The window sticker became available online earlier this week, and port of entry shows as NC, which to my mind indicates North Carolina. If the date is accurate, it will have been ten months from when I ordered the car to when it finally arrives. I'd appreciate other folks experience with how and how long it takes from when the VIN appears on the inventory web site as it progresses from port to rail to truck, to dealer, etc. Thanks.
