I am trying to replace the stock halogen amber bulbs that are in the headlight housing currently used for both DRL and turn signals 2015 Genesis Sedan 3.8 Ultimate. I want to install a switchback LED tube light to do the same thing but with white LED for DRL and amber for the turn signal. Out of the box, the lights are bight and work great when connected to an external source (as attached). When I finally finished all of the wiring on the car, they work great but they are very dim. Not sure what the problem would be.
The strip has three wires: BLACK(ground), RED(DRL), YELLOW(turn signal). I connected black to ground, yellow to the turn signal wire in the headlight wiring harness, and red to a wire that had constant 12 volts which was also in the headlight harness.
Not sure if maybe the wires aren't strong enough to supply full power or not. I'm not very experienced with stuff like this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
