  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Subaru got top scores with previous version of their eyesight. In 2015, they updated eyesight to be better one.

And genesis scored the top along with latest BMWS.

I have been drooling over new Volvo XC90 but dissapointing to see their so very highly advertised "city safey" not performing well. On the other hand, subaru with very little ad on their "eye sight" literally blew volvo out of water.

Good find! Though I agree with you the new XC90 is a looker.

The only auto function I can't bring myself to test

LOL agreed.
I tested it on the first drive home from the dealer in the new car when a truck in front of me locked up his transmission and slid to a stop spewing rubber and smoke. My car had the brakes full on before I could think to react.

Just recently, a stake truck made an emergency stop in front of me with no brake lights while leaving a traffic light stop. Again, the Genesis saved my bacon.

I’ve also had a couple of instances where it has intervened for me faster than I could have. Both extremely fast hard to anticipate situations. Like many of the other “first for this brand” features It really works good. :D

Apparently, that car did not even have the auto braking feature installed!

This one did - same result:

I'm pretty sure that one failed because of the height of the truck. I've had the Genesis try to fail in the same way - as you get closer the sensor "reading" is too low - it sees under the truck.

Odd, I don't think I've ever had that happen. It's always worked like I would have expected.

I was playing around with the auto cruise control. It was automatically slowing me down as I approached a fairly tall pickup truck, but when I was about maybe six to ten feet away it lost the "fix" on the truck (because my radar was looking UNDER the truck at that distance) and started accelerating again. It looks to me like that could have been what happened in that demo.

From I understand of this incident the engineers left the vehicle in something called “city mode” which contributed to the crash. Wasn’t aware of such a feature and glad I don’t have one. Though I agree the height difference didn’t help but I’m sure for a press showing the engineers (which checked the car before hand) would have taken that into account.
