  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Am planning on putting a Borla cat back system into my 2102 4.6.
Spoke to both Borla and my local distributor and I should have system within two weeks.
The only concern I have is the change in rear bumper on the 2012 (it now has a "built in" port rather than the oval exhaust on it's predecessors. Has anyone done an installation to date on a '12 and if so, would love to see pics (Magnaflow or Borla). Assuming my exhaust guy and I could jury up a connector to the final muffler and keep her very stealth exhaust port, but I admit to liking the Borla twins on each side, just not sure how they will look poking out of the four sided cutouts in the bumper.
Moving ahead regardless, but would love to know if anyone has gone here before.
Finally bumped up over 1,000 miles on the clock and am just amazed how this motor rocks when you run her up through the tach with the shiftronic.

Might want to leave the kit without tips since the heat would most likely melt the paint. The OEM tips for 2012 Genesis are fake, or not connected to the muffler. The outlet coming out of the mufflers would be just fine for tips.

Thanks Scott, I was thinking that if possible it would be a cleaner look as well. No way that the tips would not look like an afterthought. Will check with my exhaust guy tomorrow. Greatly appreciate the feedback.
