  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aftermarket sway bar made a big difference

I decided to just keep the air intake cover and just remove the Hyundai logo with some fishing line. The cover is not that bad looking and actually looks nice without the Hyundai logo. I may replace the Hyundai logo with a small Genesis logo later. I am not buying the UR strut bar so no need to try to make space for it.

I bet it’ll look good with the genny logo instead. Post pics if u get it on.

I went ahead and ordered the strut bar though, The strut bar should be here in a week, ill post a update if i get it to fit. Fingers crossed

I will post a pic of the emblem. However, the most important pic would be of the strut bar you install and how it affects handling.

My Genesis does appear to need stiffer sway bars for better high speed handling. I am sure that a stiffer strut tower brace could also improve front end stability. To be fair, the stock 5.0 Ultimate active shocks does control the car well up until about 100 mph on some curvy multi-lane roads I have in my area that is fun to drive on late at night with hardly any traffic; hence no speed traps. The only other large cars that seem to handle better than my Genesis on some of my fun runs on those roads were a Porsche Panamera and a Dodge Charger R/T scat pack I was playing with. Most other drivers and large performance cars(BMW 7 series and Mercedes S)are just all over the place when the they try the roads at high speeds and cannot stay in one lane(3 lane road) even if those cars has more horsepower than my Genesis; they are not setup well for cornering. The Genesis can stay in one lane easily and in control until about 100mph; any faster and then the body gets unsettled(rolls) usually at the rear end.

Hyundai did a great job on the 2015 Genesis 5.0 Ultimate chassis tuning, but it could use a stiffer rear sway bar for sure since the rear end does seem to roll a bit at higher speeds that I mentioned. A stiffer strut bar would greatly help as well I bet.

Couple of questions

- Does this replace an existing factory sway bar or this is something that you added as it didn't exist ?
- If its not a replacement does the chassis have the mounting points or did you have to get those created?
- Where can this be bought from? :)

Sorry for late reply,
1- Yes, this DOES replace an existing factory sway bar. It is much heavier and beefier then the flimsy factory sway bar.

2- i bought it from Ultra racing. It came with everything needed to install it.
