I have a single error from my vehicle with code B1697:87.
If you look at the attachments where it says "read class status" it has the words Empty/Child seat. Those words are blinking on my scanner, but I am not sure if that means something.
The ECU shows part number 88952-B1500 which is attached underneath to the passenger seat. However, that shouldn't have to be replaced as I added 2 used front seats to the vehicle since the motors initially weren't working and was cheaper to just replace the seats, and those seats are plug and play. Nothing has to be programmed for the front seats.
So this error could mean that module 95910-B1000, which is located under center console would need to be replaced. When replaced (only new would work), it would have to be programmed at Hyundai dealer only. As I don't think used airbag modules work since they're programmed to a vin.
Is this all right or is there another possible cause I can look into?
