Another 5k miles done on the ‘18 G90 & time for service (12.5k). I know. According to the manual it’s 7.5k intervals unless “severe” use but I figured I’d go more frequently at first but then transition to 7.5k intervals after breaking 20k.
Service itself was good. Dropped off in afternoon & picked up next day. Offered a loaner, G80 with very few miles. I’m not a loaner snob — happy to just get in/out quick w/ a car. Driving a G80 was quite different from the G90 Ulimate. Asked to have the map update but was told that it wasn’t available (which I knew from these boards).
Scheduling still a challenge. I pressed the Genesis link button in my car. Was told to call dealership. Called dealership, asked to schedule service, found date/time, then asked for car details, & upon saying G90, was told I needed to speak with the Genesis scheduler; she would call me back. Of course, I had to run to a meeting so missed her call back. She left a voicemail, I called back & she was busy. So called back next day & got through to her. Scheduled for the following week. Scheduler was pleasant but not an efficient processes.
Car was returned clean. Dealership facility itself isn’t the nicest but the people are friendly. With so many cars in such a tight, small urban DC lot, I always get anxious my car is going to come back banged up.
Hope these reviews help my fellow DC area Genesis members.
