  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My car has been pulling to the right a bit so I took it in to have an alignment done.

The following values were "in the red":
  • Right front camber -1.1
  • left front toe .20
  • Front total toe .32
  • left rear camber -2.3
  • left rear toe .03
  • right rear camber -2.2
  • rear total toe .16
The values weren't super-bad I guess, but the between the alignment and him rotating the front tires, it did seem to fix the pulling (even a slight pull is annoying over a long drive, and I drive a lot between Houston and Austin). I'm mostly posting these figures for comparison purposes for someone down the line (no pun intended).

Who aligned it and what did it cost?

Thanks

John

My closest dealer, Wiesner Hyundai aligned it. I had a coupon for 4 wheel laser alignment, tire rotation, and balance for $129.

I buy a lifetime alignment for every vehicle i own from Firestone for about $180. I have the alignment checked every 5000-6000 miles. My Genesis has one measurement slightly out when I brought it in at 900 miles. I had it checked once since then and everything was fine. I now have almost 7000 miles.

Wow I didn't know there was such a thing; thanks for the tip! Is the Lifetime Alignment a 4-wheel alignment?

Yes, it is. They use Hunter equipment at the location I go to. I have it on all of my vehicles.

had my alignment redone by the dealer for free at 3500 miles. now at 5600...it has a pull to the right again. but I drive with my hand settled on the wheel on the left and it balances out the weight of my hand. perfect lol!

So with your alignment being fine do you have any vibration? Do you have original Hankooks or Michelins?

I have the original Hankooks. I do not have a vibration issue. But, vibration has more to do with balancing and flat spots than alignment.

I do the alignment check often to minimize tire wear problems. They usually do minor tweaks. If I hit a bid bump or get new tires, I always do an alignment check right afterward.
