  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’m tuned by N75 and although the tune is solid we had so many communication problems and files not working they sent me countless files that did not work on the ek1 but the sound and performance was on point. Thinking of going to cherry tuning or sleepy tuned anyone have any experience with these tuners and what’s your thoughts?

Currently running hks spark plugs, wmi, intakes, primary catless downpipes, secondary catless downpipes, full maintec exhaust, and tune. Looking to make more power what’s the best next step I’m thinking hybrid turbos, head studs, and cometic head gaskets or maybe I should just run a higher methanol percentage in my wmi currently running boost juice which is 49/51. Or should I mix ethanol like e-30 blend with my wmi. Open to any advice thanks!

Go with Cherry or Sleepy. Both are top-tier for the EK1 and communication will be far better.

Your next real power jump is hybrid turbos. Head studs and a gasket are mandatory for that. Before then, you could try an E30 blend to maximize your current setup, but hybrids are the definitive next step.

Thanks I’m leaning towards sleepy. He already got back to me and he is on vacation even. Plus he runs hybrid turbos on his car. Thanks I’m pretty sure I’ll do the turbos head studs and gasket together does anybody know the specialty tools required for timing on these 3.3tt’s?

Also who is currently running hybrid turbos and what brand do y’all recommend. I was thinking CMbuildz since his is so much more affordable and he ports the restrictive exhaust inlet which is something I want done there’s also turbo kits which is solid I’m sure but the price tag is spendy

Sleepy for G70 tune. I have a 2025 now and he is the only one with a file/tune available for 25+. So far so good with it.

For hybrids hit up KJT and do muchboost hybrids. CMbuildz doesn't make turbos. He just does custom turbo builds but you better have at least 10k handy.

Sounds like a solid plan doing turbos, studs, and gasket together.

For timing the 3.3TT, you'll need the specific timing tools to lock the crankshaft and camshafts in place. It's not a job you should attempt without the full tool kit.

Lots of people are running CMbuildz hybrids and are happy with them. The port work he does is a big plus for the money. It's a popular and trusted choice for a reason.
