Aluminum Hood

I was digging around on older posts today and saw it mentioned that the hood of the G70 was aluminum. I checked it with a magnet, and sure enough, it is. This may be common knowledge, but I had no idea.

Too bad roof and trunk weren't aluminium too.

Hyundai being a steel company...they will tend to stick to modern lightweight steel.

Aluminum hood was probably one of the easier decisions.

That just answered a question I had: I went to see the G70 for the first time yesterday and I found the hood to be very light, I asked the salesman if it was aluminum but he could not answer and I don't recall seeing anything about it in test reviews.
