  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I used to use Amzoil in my taurus sho and it wad amazing. I want to start using it in my 2022 g80 sport prestige 3.5. Now that free oil changes are done.
I asked the dealer and oh boy when I asked about oil they use. Well find out they used to use quaker then switched to valvoline.. now they have some mobile 1 in bottles they have left. So I talked to the mechanic and he told me they use what they purchase. So basically the best deal.

Any thoughts

Ask ten people and you will get twelve opinions on this. Here is mine.
Any of the major brands make pretty good oil. Take your statement that Amsoil is amazing. Why do you say that? What has it done that other oils have not done? Have you ever had your oil tested before a change?

Again, just my opinion but in 62 years I've had about 30 cars and none have failed because of the brand of oil I used. That includes using re-refined oil from the Merit station many years ago. Present engine calls for synthetic and that is what is used. Use what you feel is best.
