  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2 months after purchasing my Genesis, I received a check from the dealer for $1000. The explanation was that they missed the $1000 rebate offered through hyundai motor financing for 2011 models. At the time of purchase, I thought the sale price already included this discount, as the final price was $36,200 including $1500 competitive rebate, but before tax.

This means I got the car for $35,200!
If anyone is in SoCal, I highly recommend Glendora Hyundai. I went through their internet dept. They honor Circle pricing, but for 2011 models, they beat the Circle price.

Thanks for posting about your good experience. It helps the rest of us smile, for a change :).

I also received a refund check from my dealer, Ourisman of Laurel, MD, for an item - I forget what it was - on my original invoice. It wasn't a lot, but if they hadn't sent the check I certainly wouldn't have noticed. I'm very happy with this dealership, even though, like so many others, it's aimed more toward the Elantra crowd than Genesis.

For all the bad stories we hear about dealer experiences it is refreshing to hear of such a good one.

A little off topic but it reminds me of an experience I had buying a car from a used car dealer on e-Bay. I bought a 1993 BMW 525 Wagon sight unseen from a dealer in Philly. Flew down to pick it up and drove it home. Had to stop at a BMW dealer en-route to replace a faulty brake light switch as I had no brake lights. Cost $36. Other than that the car was great. After I got home I received an unsolicited call from the dealer asking if everything was OK with the car. I mentioned the brake light switch and the fact that the radio display was very dim - no big deal on a car that cost me less than $3000. Two weeks later I received a cheque in the mail for $100. There really are good dealers out there - just not enough of them. :)

I can concur that Glendora Hyundai is a very up and up deaalership. I purchased my 2012 3.8 from them 3 months ago. they actually beat the ZAG pricing I was receiving from other S. CA dealers.
