Android Auto/Carplay download assistance please

as it was made clear that android auto and carplay will not be coming to any of the current genesis sedans in Canada. we are unable to receive the update. i am curious to see if someone provides or host the download file they obtained via myhyundai to dropbox or google drive. if i would be able to install the files to a spare sd card and try to install the AA & CP to my Canadian Hyundai genesis sedan.

if someone has the file and is willing to host it on one of those services for someone to download and try it i would be greatly appreciative. or any info to help me obtain the same end results.

Each download is personalized to the VIN of the car. You won't be able to take another users' file and use it.

You CAN use a myhyundai account to update more than just your cars SD card.

I have updated three 2015 Genesis SD cards from my personal myhyundai account just this week. My AWD Tech package, another AWD Tech package, and an AWD Signature. You are probably wondering why so many. I am a Hyundai salesperson so I've update a couple others to demo for buyers.

So... the exact same DL from your account updated all 3 cars?
It seems odd that my VIN was displayed during the process when the PC was writing to the SD card IIRC.

In the past, MAP updates were VIN specific, and could not simply be downloaded and shared to another card. That also begs the question regarding why there are different versions of the update.

When I went to MyHyundai to get the download file,I saw the alert that it was available for my VIN, but I could not find the actual download. Where exactly am I supposed to find the download file?

its under "downloads" on the website.... I'm still on the fence... i like the idea of 3D maps and the Apps but still unsure

I'm not willing to give you my username and password but I will attempt to update your SD card for you from my myhyundai account, if you are willing to be without it for a week and a half. If you send me a message then I can give you my address for you to send it to me.

I wouldn't want anyone to provide login information. I was under the impression that the first small download you get from the myhyundia account could be shared and via a file sharing site and could be used to download the large file and update the SD card.

My VIN was displayed as well which made me doubt was I was doing the first time. However, it performed flawlessly so I did another. All three work great. On a side note, I cannot stress enough how impressed I was with the sound quality of Amazon Music with AA.

you need to use the stock one that came with the car to add Carplay to the factory settings..
