  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all, I use AA extensively in my current Audi A4, but I'm considering the G70. That said, I would prefer to use the car's own navigation and infotaintment capabilities. The one piece that I love (but rarely works with AA) is the integration to my calendar, so that I can get in my car, plug in my phone, and when AA starts up, I simply click on my next calendar item and Google Maps fires up and I go.

Can the Genesis G70 do this natively without using AA? Really I want to use the wireless charging and not have to plug my phone in every time, and then get the same functionality, with our without Google Maps

Genesis intelligent assistant integrates with your calendar. It will show your next two appointments but you must click on the appointment and click on download to your car. At that point is shows up in Bluelink and you can click on it and it loads to the native nav. That is a few more steps but I usually do the first few at home and then everything is ready when I click on Bluelink in my car to download to the nav. That is fast.

Must be a US thing as I can't do anything like that with here in Canada. I do like that feature in AA though.

Huh, Android Auto doesn't seem to do that in my GTI, though maybe it does and I wasn't aware it was pulling items out of my calendar. It doesn't have a separate calendar app in your usage does it?

So I tried adding Genesis to my Google Assistant integration and it took me to the US Genesis Connected Services webpage. Hopefully they make it available to Canada soon. I love my Google Home and use Google Assistant quite a bit!

No calendar app, but if I have the address in an appointment and get in the car it brings up the location to navigate to. I don't always have that info in and don't always use AA. I will give it a try again in the next day or two, but many times I am impressed it knows where I need to go.

OK yeah I have seen that behavior, it certainly is handy!
