  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The infotainment system in my 2022 G80 Prestige supports Android Auto, but it apparently must be plugged in via USB. The latest version of Android Auto supports connections via bluetooth. And I know that some cars support this. I tested a BMW 3 series that worked this way with my phone.

The firmware in my car is the June, 2021 version.

How often does the software get updated? And does anyone know if this feature will be added? I don't know where to look for this type of information.

I wouldn't count on it being added later. Android Auto doesn't work over Bluetooth, there's not enough bandwidth. It works over wifi and as far as I know, there's no wifi radio in the car. There are wireless AA dongles you can buy though.
