  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

1st world problems I know, but an annoying rattling has developed inside the dash. It is definitely impact related, every single road ripple or imperfection sets it off, but what worse is the sound source differs on where you're sitting.

In the Driver's seat, it sounds like it's coming from the Glove Box, while in the passenger seat it sounds like it's coming from the vent left of the dash. I suspect it's being picked up and amplified through the sound system by the synthesized Engine Note sound, as it happens whether Stereo is on or not, and can be heard no matter what volume the stereo is at when on.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Its not the dash, its the same issue almost every Genesis experiences, got to live with it I am afraid...It only happens during first 5-10 min of driving when cold.

flutter @ 25-30mph

I’ve found that a drop of oil in each ear solves the problem!👍🏻

Sadly, I only wish this was my case. Issue started as the weather warmed up this spring suggesting to me that it is something that has loosened over the winter and now leads to perpetual rattling. This may impact selling when that time comes a challenge unless to buyer is deaf! Turning up radio extremely loud can mask it, but really loud enough to overwhelm artificial engine sound too.
