  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It's been a while already. I dont know when it begins. Do you guys have any solution to fix this?

May need to tune up a little or wear a headphone, the noise beside the knocking is the point. When I go over a damp or curb or uneven road, there will be rattle squeaky sound like this, it's very annoying.

anyone has similar issue?

No, but it does seem like you will need to replace the seat belt pretensioner unit.

The unit cost $186.92 online on this website.

alright, is it better to do with dealer or any service shop?
Depends. Warranty or no warranty?

Warranty: Let the dealership repair it.

No warranty: DIY or a service shop.

A good reputable shop mechanic can easily swap out a bolt-on part as good a dealer service tech.

I personally would just do it myself if it happens out of warranty in my car.

Note: I would try to tighten the bolts on the seat belt tensioner first before swapping it out. A bolt may loose and is causing it to rattle.

Thank you, I had try to use my hand to find out which part is loosen. I don't seen any. I think I will just bring to my friend works in the service shop to take a look on it.

You are welcome.

It is possible that the rattle noise is from an internal issue within the pretensioner mechanism itself. Hopefully your friend can sort it out for you.
