  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've gone through past comments and can't seem to narrow down which actuator I need.

Issue: no heat or cool on drivers side. It just seems to blow ambient temp regardless of temp setting. The Passenger side works (heat and cold). I can redirect flow to defroster, front console and to feet (so mode control OK). There are a bunch of actuators and I'm not sure which ones just ones set the temperature.

I see from various parts diagrams and the service manual for the driver's side:
temp actuator (drive) 97159F p/n 97159-3M000
console temp actuator (A) 97160E p/n 97160-3M500 also see it called ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY-CON.TEMPERATURE RIGHT
console temp actuator 97160D p/n 97160-3M000 also see it called ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY-CON.TEMPERATURE LEFT

mode actuator 97256D and p/n 97154-3M000 (pretty sure it isn't this as this is the mode control but included for ref).

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I’m only familiar with GM vehicles and their actuators. The only way I found the right one on a GM is to contort yourself upside down under the dash with a flashlight while a helper changes A/C settings and you watch actuators to find the dead one. The GM actuators are the same/multi use so you can also remove one you see working and reinstall it at the suspected location. Not sure about Genesis? Working room is limited and tight to remove and reinstall some of the airflow actuators, at least on the several GM cars I had the unfortunate experience to work on. You will cuss and probably have scrapped knuckles.
