  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Was driving toward Orlando this morning, when I drove over a bucket of White Paint. WHITE PAINT. Great! Pulled into a nearby plaza and found that the areas behind the left side wheels, plus the left side rockers where all smeared with White Paint. Also both left side tires had paint on them.
Was only five or six miles from Orlando Hyundai, so I went directly there. Told my favorate Service Writer what happend and asked if he had a power washer. Not only did he have a power washer, but he (the Service Writer) washed that paint off himself. Did not get a tech to do it. Did not write up an RO. He just pulled the car into the wash area, and he proceded to blow off the white paint. The paint on the body came off easier, but the paint on the tires takes a while to come off. After all the white paint was off, he then washed the whole car in the normal fashon. No Charge! Because I had not planned on going there today, I did not have any money on me, but next time I go in for service, that Service Writer will get a good tip.

That is great attention to a customers needs. On a similar note, I was living in L.A. back in the 80's and had an office downtown. One day on the way home an entire tractor/flatbed trailer load of 5 gallon pails of that silver rubberized roof coating for mobile homes flipped over on I-10. Every bucket broke open spilling thousands of gallons of the coating all over the road. Luckily, it happened way ahead of me but some not so fortunate soul in a light yellow with white vinyl top Eldorado hit that puddle at full speed and the car was covered in that silver coating. You could see where he rolled the drivers side window down and then up where the paint was screeded off the window. A real mess. I idled through the mess and got very little on the car but the tires were silver for several hundred miles after that. You are lucky that it happened so close to an attentive dealer.
