I used the CostCo auto program to buy my Gen 4.6/Tech; Hardin was the closest dealer subscribing to the CostCo program. Everything went smoothly; I was not subjected to many of the typical dealer shenanigans:
* salesman Ryan took his time with me, made sure to find answers to questions if he didn't know himself, wasn't pushy at all. Neither was the sales manager.
* no extra dealer cost stuff was stuffed in my face - no undercoating, etc.
* price haggling was not adversarial. Starting with the CostCo price probably helped that a lot, as did the (unplanned) fact that I'd arrived at the dealership about an hour before closing... it was past closing by the time I'd finished my test drives and we started talking numbers. Guess they didn't care to stay even later arguing over a few bucks... I'll have to remember that idea for next time.
All in all, a LOT more pleasant experience than my last new car - a Mitsubishi bought 21 years ago.
